improving the quality of life
for the residents of hell’s kitchen
for over 100 years.
Since our beginnings more than a century ago, Hartley House has responded to the needs of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton community with programs and services for children, teens, seniors and families in an atmosphere of care and concern.
Our constant goal has been to help individuals and families of Hell’s Kitchen gain the skills they need to improve their lives and participate fully in our society. The community’s needs today are similar to those of the residents who lived here a hundred years ago: quality child care, language classes, educational programs, recreation, culture and the arts.
