Pied Piper Summer Camp Program

The Pied Piper Summer Day Camp provides recreational, social, and educational enrichment for children ages 4 to 12. The camp runs for 8 weeks in July and August and serves up to 175 children each year.

Weekly thematic programming is incorporated into off-site trips. In-house activities include ceramics, computer workshops, storytelling, games, movies, sports, arts and crafts, and literacy-enhancement projects. Full-day and half-day field trips include destinations such as the Bronx Zoo, Yankee Stadium, American Museum of Natural History, NY Aquarium, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The camp’s innovative and varied program also helps to combat summer learning loss, which has been identified by researchers as an important educational issue. The City of New York’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene licenses Hartley House’s Pied Piper Summer Day Camp.
