West Side After School Collaboration

In February of 2014, Hartley House received a grant from the New York Community Trust to formally collaborate with Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center to deepen and strengthen the after school and summer programming for underserved children on Manhattan’s west side. The collaboration consists of a shared Program Coordinator responsible for maintaining continuity of services and managing resource-sharing efforts to lower costs and enrich offerings for both organizations. The collaboration includes three shared specialists in drama, music and art to launch Hartley House’s Learning Community model at LSNC.  Hartley House will also share its intake forms, measurement and reporting standards, and Social and Emotional Learning outcomes matrix with LSNC to help both agencies increase and properly report their impact.
